Our Lomi Lomi team
David helped me when I started to have a strong tibia pain only 5 weeks before the marathon. I genuinely thought at some point that I wasn’t going to be able to do it and I did my PB!

Couldn’t recommend this physio team enough! They helped me recover from a knee injury 3 weeks before the London Marathon which I thought was going to prevent me from running it! Everyone was really friendly, supportive and genuinely cared about helping me reach my goal. Special thanks to Charlie, Gus, Brad and Stef!

I came to Dave with an ongoing injury that I’ve been struggling with for months! He helped sort it out straight away, also giving me some exercises to help target the area to get back to full strength. I’m now back to running pain-free already and training properly — I’ll definitely be recommending Kaizen Physiotherapy to my clients!

Gus worked miracles to get me running a marathon after being injured 6 weeks out. He worked out the issue really quickly and provided a clear and actionable plan to deal with it. The sports massages were the best I’ve ever had too — thanks Peggy! Can’t recommend Gus and Peggy enough.

I had such a positive experience working with Brad at Kaizen. He supported me through a meniscus tear and got me all the way back to running a half marathon and HYROX training. Everything was structured, progressive, and easy to follow, and I always felt like I was in safe hands.

What to expect
Consultation & preparation
Wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting a little oily, and arrive a few minutes early. Eat a light meal beforehand and stay hydrated. Tell Peggy about any injuries, skin conditions, allergies to oils, anticoagulant medication or pregnancy before the session begins.
During treatment
Aftercare
Feeling deeply relaxed or a little tired afterwards is normal. Drink water and take it easy for the rest of the day if you can. You may want to shower later to remove any remaining oil. Contact the clinic if any discomfort does not settle within a day or two.
FAQ
FAQs
What is Lomi Lomi massage?
Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian style of relaxation massage. It uses long, flowing strokes and more oil than a standard massage to create a continuous rhythm across the body. At Kaizen it is offered by Peggy Grospiron, who trained in Lomi Lomi in Maui, Hawaii.
Who is Lomi Lomi massage good for?
Lomi Lomi suits people who want to relax and ease general tightness, fatigue and stress. Peggy describes it as ideal for anyone who finds it difficult to let go and relax easily. If you have pain from a specific injury, we recommend a physiotherapy assessment or sports massage instead.
Why does Lomi Lomi cost more than other massages?
Lomi Lomi uses more oil and is a very different type of massage, so it is priced separately: £170 for 90 minutes and £220 for 2 hours. All our other massages share one price list. If you hope to claim through insurance, check with your insurer first, as cover varies.
How long is a Lomi Lomi session?
Lomi Lomi is booked as either a 90-minute or a 2-hour session. The longer format gives time for the slow, flowing style of the massage and for you to settle and relax. Arrive a few minutes early so you can talk to Peggy before the session begins.
